The Weeknd Unveils Release Date for New Album ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’

The Weeknd Announces ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ Album and Film, Plus a One-Night-Only Concert

The Weeknd is gearing up for a monumental start to 2025 with the release of his highly anticipated album Hurry Up Tomorrow. Slated to drop on January 24, 2025, the LP will follow the format of his critically acclaimed 2022 album Dawn FM, which also launched at the beginning of its release year.

A One-Night-Only Rose Bowl Performance

To celebrate the album’s release, The Weeknd will take the stage at Rose Bowl Stadium for a special one-night-only show on January 25, 2025. Fans eager to attend can secure their tickets starting Monday, December 2.

The Music So Far

The Weeknd has already teased fans with three singles from the album:

  • “Dancing In The Flames”
  • “Timeless” featuring Playboi Carti
  • “São Paolo” featuring Anitta

These tracks offer a glimpse into the sonic landscape of Hurry Up Tomorrow, which promises to push boundaries and redefine expectations.

A Cinematic Companion Piece

Beyond music, Hurry Up Tomorrow also serves as the title of The Weeknd’s upcoming Lionsgate psychological thriller. Directed by Trey Edward Shults, the film stars The Weeknd alongside Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan. This marks the closing chapter of his trilogy, which began with 2020’s After Hours and continued with 2022’s Dawn FM.

Adam Fogelson, chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, expressed excitement for the project, stating, “Abel is a visionary whose art cannot be confined by any single medium. With Hurry Up Tomorrow, in partnership with Trey, his musical universe expands onto the big screen with a psychological thriller that will usher in a new cinematic experience for fans.”

The Weeknd’s Eventful Year

In addition to his album and film projects, The Weeknd has been making headlines in the music world. Earlier this year, he collaborated with Future and Metro Boomin on their albums We Don’t Trust You and We Still Don’t Trust You, even throwing a direct diss at Drake on the track “All To Myself.”

What’s Next?

As Hurry Up Tomorrow approaches, fans can anticipate a transformative blend of music and cinema that pushes creative boundaries. Whether through his upcoming album, his film debut, or his unforgettable live performance, The Weeknd is set to dominate 2025.

Stay tuned for more updates, and don’t forget to grab your tickets for the Rose Bowl show starting December 2!
