The Brooklyn-born artist is set to debut Money Christmas, a new solo project, during a special live-streamed performance on December 15 at 2 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. GMT. This digital-first release will later be available on vinyl, offering fans multiple ways to experience the artist’s latest work.

The performance, priced at $7.99, will stream via Bandcamp, with a replay available for 48 hours. Fans can later purchase the video for $9.99. Audio tracks from the live EP will be mastered and ready for download 24-48 hours post-performance. Additionally, exclusive merchandise designed by Yasiin Bey will be available for pre-order to coincide with the release.
A Bold Visual Statement: “Osanta Bin Lyin”
Bey teased the project with provocative artwork titled Osanta Bin Lyin, painted by Spanish-Moroccan artist Anuar Khalifi, a close collaborator. The piece features a striking depiction of a figure resembling Osama bin Laden dressed as Santa Claus, underscoring the project’s subversive and thought-provoking tone. Bey cryptically shared on Instagram, “WHATEVER YOU THINK IT IS … IT’S NOT THAT,” building anticipation for the release.

Money Christmas marks Bey’s first solo effort since 2019’s Negus, a sound installation that blended music with immersive art. This new release follows a busy year for the artist, including the physical release of the Madlib-produced Black Star album, No Fear of Time, and the BEYONDOOM tour, which honored the late MF DOOM.
