Eminem and 50 Cent—two of hip-hop’s most iconic figures—might just make a dream collaboration come true. Fans have long speculated about a joint album between the rap titans, and Eminem recently fueled those hopes during a candid conversation on Shade 45.
Speaking with his manager Paul Rosenberg on Christmas, Eminem reflected on the idea of teaming up with 50 Cent for a full-length project. When Rosenberg voiced his excitement for such an album, Eminem didn’t hold back: “That would be great. We just gotta stop bullshtting and do it. I would never say it’s not possible.”*
Rosenberg added his own enthusiasm to the mix, declaring, “I would love to hear it, so whenever you guys are ready, we’re putting it out.”
This isn’t the first time the possibility of a collaboration has come up. Eminem recently urged 50 Cent to return to the studio, telling DJ Whoo Kid earlier this year, “We need another 50 album like really bad. 50’s on a roll right now. He’s been on a roll since the tour. I told him whatever the f**k he needs from me, I’m here. That sht’d be crazy, though—an album with me and him.”*
The duo already shares a rich history of creating hits together, from “Patiently Waiting” to their latest reunion with Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre on “Gunz N Smoke” from the album Missionary. This recent collaboration highlights the unmatched chemistry between the legendary rappers, leaving fans yearning for more.
As for Eminem, the Detroit legend is in top form, following the release of his acclaimed album The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce) in July. The project debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, showcasing features from JID, Big Sean, and BabyTron, while selling an impressive 281,000 album-equivalent units in its first week.
With both Eminem and 50 Cent in peak creative shape, the timing couldn’t be better for a joint project. While nothing is set in stone, the mutual excitement from the two artists—and their manager—suggests this long-awaited collaboration could finally become a reality.
Stay tuned, because if this album comes to life, it’s sure to be a monumental moment in hip-hop history.
